Admission Subjects

Eligible admission subjects are grouped into one of three general categories.

Humanities

Fine Arts

Science

English (Literature and Composition); Languages other than English; History; Cultural Geography; Social Studies; Economics Art; Drama; Music; Dance Math (Pre-Calculus, Pure Math); Biology; Calculus (Additional Math); Chemistry; Physics; Science; Computer Science


Canadian curriculum schools outside of Canada

A combination or curricula can be considered when meeting the five required admission subjects for your program.

English Language Arts/Literature course at the grade 12 level.  English SAT: Critical Reading (minimum score of 600) or  Redesigned SAT: Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (minimum score of 600), or SAT Subject Test: Literature (minimum score of 550) English A1 or A2 (HL or SL)
or
English B1 or B2 (HL or SL)
or
English A: Literature (HL or SL)
or
English A: Language and Literature (HL or SL)
         
  USA curriculum applicants: All required courses from Humanities/Social Science (Group A) and Fine Arts (Group B) must be met by presenting accepted scores from either IB, AP, SAT Subject Test (SAT ST) results or High School (last three years) course marks. If a high school course mark is to be used, the applicant must also meet the SAT or ACT requirement  as follows:
  • SAT: minimum combined score of 1800 with a minimum of 600 on each section 

  • Redesigned SAT: minimum combined score of 1200 with a minimum of 600 on each section 

  • ACT: minimum composite score of 26

Combinations of disciplines will not be considered.

Studio Art,

GROUP C SUBJECTS USA curriculum applicants:  All required courses from this group must be met by presenting accepted scores from either IB, AP, SAT Subject Test (SAT ST) results or High School (last three years) course marks. If a high school course mark is to be used, the applicant must also meet the SAT or ACT requirement  as follows:
  • SAT: minimum combined score of 1800 with a minimum of 600 on each section 

  • Redesigned SAT: minimum combined score of 1200 with a minimum of 600 on each section 

  • ACT: minimum composite score of 26

Math (Pre-calculus, Pure Math) High School (last three years) course plus one of the following:

a) SAT: minimum combined score of 1800 with a minimum of 600 on each section; or 
Redesigned SAT: minimum combined score of 1200 with a minimum of 600 on each section

b) ACT: minimum composite score of 26

Combinations of disciplines will not be considered.
There is no AP course that meets this requirement for admission. Mathematics Level 2 or Mathematics IIC with a minimum score of 600 Mathematics; Math Studies
Calculus Calculus AB, Calculus BC N/A - There is no SAT Subject test in Calculus Mathematics
Biology Biology Biology E or Biology M with a minimum score of 590 Biology
Chemistry Chemistry Chemistry with a minimum score of 600 Chemistry
Physics
Physics 1 & 2;
