Come and live on campus at UAlberta!

Living on campus while you study at UAlberta will be a great way to enjoy university life, make new friends, and get involved with the community. There are nine student residences at UAlberta, each offering different lifestyles and accommodations to suit your needs.

Applying for housing at UAlberta

  • International undergraduate students are guaranteed a space in residence on campus for their first year if they apply for residence by April 30! Some conditions apply.
  • Apply to study at UAlberta  > Get student ID > Apply for housing at UAlberta
    • Your housing application is different and separate from your application to study at UAlberta.  
    • You should apply to study at UAlberta before you apply for housing.
    • You don't have to wait for your final admission decision before you apply for housing. You can apply as soon as you get your UAlberta Student ID. 
    • You will receive a student ID by e-mail soon after you apply to study at UAlberta.
  • We recommend that you apply for housing early.

Where do first-year students live?

  • If you are a first-year international student on North Campus, you can live in Lister Centre.
  • Campus Saint-Jean students can live in Residence Saint-Jean.
  • Students attending Augustana Campus in Camrose, Alberta, can live in the First Year Complex at Augustana Residence.

Lister Centre is all about community! Everything you need is right there: computer labs, a convenience store, spaces to watch TV, and more.

HUB
HUB apartments surround our campus shopping mall, which is full of different shops, restaurants, and services.

Undergraduate students, 1st year to 5th year

Unfurnished studio, 1, 2* or 4* bedroom apartments. Limited furnished studios available.

Pinecrest House

PInecrest
Pinecrest House (opened in September 2013) is located on the scenic eastern edge of campus, just steps from classes and libraries, the river valley and neighbourhood amenities like grocery stores, banks and restaurants.

Augustana Campus is located in the City of Camrose, which is about an hour's drive from Edmonton. 

The residences for students at Augustana offer great opportunities to thrive in a smaller community setting.
