Meet Mudit Chordia, a UAlberta Engineering alumnus. He is working at Jacobs Engineering.
In his free time, he enjoys the beauty of Alberta from 13,000 feet in the air…skydiving!
I am Mudit Chordia. I came to the University of Alberta in fall’09 to pursue a Masters in Petroleum Engineering. My prior experience in the offshore oil and gas industry as a Mechanical engineer and the booming Alberta Oil sands market were key drivers in my decision to move to Alberta.
I now work for Jacobs as a Project Coordinator, and a part of my role is to integrate field activities with the in-house engineering team. I work on Risk and Integrity analysis of existing facilities with engineering as well as economic considerations.
UAlberta provided me with a strong academic background in Petroleum engineering that helps me understand the technologies implemented in the field, and to become sensitive to the market trends in the oil sands business.
On days I am not thinking oil, I jump out of planes flying at 13,000 feet!
